Parallel Axis?

OK. When I think of a bridge HB, I am thinking of something that is thick and beefy, yet is clear and has good definition and harmonics. Medium to medium high output. Somthing that is great for solos and cuts well without the high end being harsh. For DiMarzio I was thinking about an Air Zone, but I would like to weigh it against what Seymour Duncan has to offer. To me, it looks like the Parallel Axis Trem Bucker is what would fit me. TO give musical direction to what I am thinking... Andy Timmons, Richie Kotzen, Reb Beach, Blues Saraceno and Nuno Bettencourt are what I like. None of these guys use the same pickups, but they all have tones and sounds I like. At the same time, I am not looking to copy their tones, just giving them as a reference.

So what do you think? This pcikup would go in the bridge of a strat style guitar.

To be perfectly honest, I like the Parallel Axis™ version of the Duncan Distortion™ WAY better than the trembucker sized version. It's a little more "crisp" to my ears. :D

I get great Nuno tones with my full shred in the bridge position...I thought about trying the Blues in my Wolfgang...might have to give it a shot...

I had the PATB-1 bridge in a thick poplar body superstrat a few years back, and from what I remember it was very dark, but with plenty of gain, with effortless pinch harmonics. It wasnt what I was looking for at the time however, so I didnt keep it long. One of these days, I would like to try the Blues Sarceno version though. And if I remeber right, Tony Macalpine used to use the distortion version, and he aint no slouch!
