Parker Fly Deluxe vs. Fly Mojo

I conducted the final tone test today and compared the Deluxe and the Mojo through the Celtic Franklin 15.

I had been impressed with the Mojo from the start. It seemed to have the tone I sought. It performed beautifully at band rehearsal Tuesday, but I only used my POD X3L.

Axes:
Fly Deluxe in Italian Plum, with a Brobucker (b) and an A2Pro (n).
Fly Mojo in Black Cherry Flame, with a JB (b) and a Jazz (n).

The Deluxe has a thinner, faster neck. It also has a thinner, stinging tone. The A2Pro thickens it up somewhat, but it still is thinner sounding.

The Mojo has a fat, rich tone in both positions. The Jazz(n) gets pretty dark sounding, but in a good way. The JB(b) cuts through very nicely while maintaining a LP quality.

Both axes have sustain for days. Both play very well. Both have distinct tonal characteristics, and therefore distinct applications.

The Deluxe has a 3-way bridge; the Mojo is a hard-tail.

I suspected this when the Mojo was first introduced a few years ago. It has taken awhile, and some divine assistance, but I finally have one in my possession. The Mojo will likely be my primary axe, but the Deluxe will not be left behind. It will be present at every gig, as it responds better to acoustic and softer clean settings (e.g., for worship sets). The Mojo RULZ for the rockers, though.

I played a Nitefly Mojo. It represented the line very well.
So you have two high-end instruments that compliment each other perfectly?
:D
:bigok:

BTW, the tone control on the Mojo splits the coils on the 'buckers. SCHWEET!
