parker nitefly + Duncans = awesome!

Put a Distortion bridge and two cool rails in my parker nitefly. No more wimpiness here. Exactly the sound I was looking for. What's also interesting is the sustain was improved a great deal also. The sound is not over the top at all either, it's nice and smooth. The stock Dimarzio custom wounds weren't bad, but there's a huge improvement with duncans.

Glad to hear that. What style of music are you playing? And what wood is your Nightfly, mines SwampA$$.

I'm pretty happy with my stock Dimarzios in my Nightfly, but I have always considered swapping in some Duncans. Did you install them yourself?

I'm a jazz guitar student but I also play hard rock/metal, actually I just play a wide variety of stuff. This combination of pickups does just about everything.

I swapped them out myself too, and like I said the difference is huge, I'm still keeping the dimarzios around though, but I didn't like how the bridge dimarzio wasn't F-spaced from the factory. I no longer have volume dropoff on the low E. I had to rout out the pickguard a little though. I put in 500k tone and volume also.

Oh, and I'm still trying to figure out what type of wood the guitar body is made out of, it could be maple for all I know, my guitar was made in '97 so it was the precursor to the SA.

Sounds interesting. I might try some different pickups, too. I'd be surprised if it was maple, but with Parker anything is possible. Mahogany is more likely. Have you read reviews on Harmony-central.com, sometimes you can glean some information from them or send an e-mail to Parker. Good luck
