Parker on the bench

I might even do this myself. Parkers are $189 on Aliexpress. Add a Fishman bridge and a couple of decent pickups, and I think you would have something a bit better than Washburn/Parkers, but not quite the USA models.

What's the point though? There is no innovation in the Chinese knock-offs.

Ergonomics, that is about all the Washburn guitars had at the end—no composite fretboard, no stainless steel frets, no Fishman piezo, no locking tuners. The list goes on. For short money that guitar would make a nice build platform for someone who always wanted a Parker and does not have the 2K - 5K budget. A Mexican Tele neck would cost more than that entire guitar.

Correction: The Washburn built Parker I had on my bench had Fishman saddles. I didn't think much of them, but the client used them during gigs.

Yes, there are plenty with the Fishman bridges. Yet some of the low-end models I have seen, including the last one I touched, had a Wilkerson looking bridge that was not piezo. Had it been a piezo, I might have grabbed it; the guitar was around $350 and had the later-gen headstock I hate. They also did some stop-tailpiese guitars with no piezo.
