Parts needed for LP Triumph repair (see my avatar)

Re: Parts needed for LP Triumph repair (see my avatar)

do you have a pic of the switch itself ? I found this
I dont really think this is it but a pic of your switch might help.
Also, somone mentioned putting a 3 way clicker into a superswitch, but could you transplant the 3 way from this one into your current switch ? looks fairly easy to take apart and put back together.

This is the switch I'm looking for, the "1-2-3" tone selector switch:

triumphcontrols.jpg

the part # for the Oak-Grigsby 3-way blade switch: 399163-184.

It's in the shop, so getting a photo is gonna be a day or 2.

Reload, the Nighthawk switch is way too small. This puppy needs to be full-size, 2 wafers, 6 terminals each (see link to circuit diagram above).

edit: Eric, that's a Switchcraft toggle, and they're fairly easy to come by. If modding for one of those was an option, my frustration would have gotten the better of me by now.

would a normal tele switch work? It was used in the esquire wiring for bright-normal-deep combination.

Let me ask my guy again -- he said he was trying to fix the original with some Tele parts. The physical parts for the switch detent (aka the "click") might be interchangeable, but the wiring between the tele and the Triumph/Recording are 2 different animals.

Eric, my repair guy says that Esquires had a resistor/cap setup on the 3-way for bright/normal/deep, but they were regular otherwise. Beside, he's out of vintage parts -- a store fire some years ago, from which he's still trying to recover repair inventory.

physically too small ? I know it doesnt have the required switching I was just wondering size wise.

Physically, the Nighthawk switch is too small... unfortunately, I have the opposite condition (wifey wants me to lose weight). :(
