Partscaster Strat build

Hey all,

She’s done. 2016 American Standard neck, 1997 Strat Plus Deluxe body, 90’s American Standard Strat bridge, Duncan CS Quarter Pound (white and MJ wound), SSL 2 and APS 1, locking heads... One head is defective...

Set up and soundS amazing!

Very nice. I love the SSL-1/2 mid and APS-1/2 in the neck. Three great positions plus good quack for whatever you put in the bridge. (I’ve used SSL-1, SSL-5 and Stelly which is like a Twangbanger)

Re: Partscaster Strat build

Thanks!

The Quarter Pound is the tapped version so I set it up to volume match the other pickups in tapped mode. So far tapped mode sounds a lot like an American Standard Strat pickup. Untapped I have the tone bypassed completely and it seems to be working well too. Surprised myself in that by just eyeballing the saddles when I rebuilt the bridge, the intonation was almost dead on.

So far so good!

Re: Partscaster Strat build

My pc is lackluster so I can't really make out the color... Is that Blizzard Pearl or Inca Silver? Blizzard with Rosewood is a nice combo that I wouldn't mind getting into some day. Nice guitar!

Re: Partscaster Strat build

Got it that time :)

It’s shoreline gold. A more subtle gold metallic. I think it looks pretty cool.
