PATB-1 Set

Quick vid of the Seymour Duncan PATB-1 pickup set. This is probably my favorite pickup set for a super strat. They are very balanced and offer a pretty wide range of tones. Split, the neck pup gives a very nice single-coil vibe. Also pulled the rack out of my signal chain and went with a TC Alter Ego for delays. I'm still playing with the Tone Print editor to get "my" delay sound. We'll see. I'm really hoping to not have to drop the money on a TimeLine. Need to get this pedal in a band context to see if it will be a long-term solution. Anyway... enjoy.

I don't see the vid, but it's my favorite set in an LP too. These pups tend to fly under the radar.

Very nice. I have the PATB-1 and the matching PATB single in a Dana Alvarez from the 80's. They are most underrated. I actually want to try the PATB-3 Blues S. model in that guitar at some point. Also, great chops.

I had the PATB-3 before I tried the PATB-1. It's one of the sweetest bridge pups ever made IMHO. I only sold it because at the time I was on a tighter budget, and wanted to hear the PATB-1 version. I may get another.

I have a PATB-3 as well. I have it loaded in my other Charvel. Definitely lower output. Doesn’t quite smack the front end of the amp like the 1b. It’s like a 59 with more growl and less of a mid scoop.

I am actually in the middle of installing a matching MJ-wound PATB-1 set into a Charvel Model 5. The bridge model (NOS) is having an issue with the screw hole not accepting any of the seymour duncan supplied screws that i have. Sort of strange. Once i have that gremlin settled, i cant wait to hear what this combo will sound like.

I also have a PATB-3 that i am waiting to put in the right guitar. I think those go well in Strats, so if i dont dig the Custom Custom i am about to install in one of my Mexican strats, i will put the Blues in it.

I have the PATB-1 & PATB-3 in one of my Floydcasters. A really sweet combination.
Haven't tried the PATB-1b; I prefer medium output so I don't need to redial for each guitar.
