PATB-2 Question

I'd be interested in putting it into the bridge of one of my upcoming guitars (I already know I want no EMG 81). Alder body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, floyd rose bridge.

I already know it's good for distorted metal tones, but... how does it sound, when split, on a clean setting (remember, bridge position) ? Does it at least clean up correctly ?

I'm thinking "clean sound for metal", but I want it to be at least a bit clean :D

Re: PATB-2 Question

Split or parallel it should be much more managable for cleans. Haven't heard it that way, though.

daemon barbeque manages to get some unique clean sounds out of it [in series] into a POD, it just takes a bit of work and a clean setup with lots of headroom.

Into a tube amp without a lot of clean headroom, or a low gain crunch/OD channel, it's difficult to make clean up. That's what I'm talking about when I say it's difficult for cleans.
