I'm trying out a PATB-3 in my customized Ibanez JS100 and I already have a Chopper in the neck, which has worked flawlessly getting along with my Screamin' Demon TB-12 at the bridge for 12 years. I know Resonant peak frequency and DC Resistance it's not a very reliable way to determine output but since the PATB-3 has a lower DC Resistance and Resonant peak than the Demon, it makes me wonder if the pickup it's indeed lower in output than the Demon. The Chopper and the Demon happen to be a great combination IMO and contrary to what many people would think, the Chopper has not been too hot in the neck fof my guitar with the Demon in the bridge. It has a strong attack, that's for sure... but they do match well. My re-worded question here it's: Would the PATB-3 keep up with the Chopper in the neck position? I'm eventually either mounting a PATB-1n or maybe a '59 but for now, this is what the picture looks like.
