BTW it's a slightly "hotrodded" crazy 8. I think MJ gave a tad more output or windings to balance the low end!

But it's really similar to the PATB1...Not as dark and meaty ,but as strong and the harmonics are the same...it's tighter than all PATBs there ,as tight as the Distortion.But not on par with Miracle Man or FullShred!

So that pickup is basically a 7-string version of the Crazy 8? Man it sounds awesome! When/if it's in my future to have a 7-string, I definitely want to have a 7-string version of the Crazy 8. I love the Crazy 8 I have now, it's just the most incredible bridge pu I have ever tried. I love all PATB's, pretty much, they're my favorites...

I Modded itn now..It has a Ceramic magnet in it ,it reads 16,7 k ,and tight as a nut heheh..
I record a better version of it.as soon as possible!

PATB FTW!I tell once more...PATB is the best HB design ever..Maybe Q-Tuners can compete ,but not in sustain anyways...

So you used to have a 7-string version of the Crazy 8 (with A8 magnet), and you changed the magnet to ceramic?? WHY?!? The A8 magnet in the 6-string Crazy 8 is awesome...

If that is what you did, how do you like the ceramic vs. A8 in the 7-string pickup?

Yes that's exactly what i did..
The A8 works perfect till low D..After the Low D ,it beginns to mud...So i changed to Ceramic ,and i have no complaits now...The low A (7. String) ,sounds awesome..Alltough i think i have to get 70 instead of 68..But the PU is tight and juicy...Heck it's so full and chunky ,i have allways turn my volume down for leaving some room for my bandmatest ,the Bass and the 2. Guitar!

heheheh.....that's awesome....one of the things I love most about the Crazy 8 is that whenever you let notes or chords sustain, the notes actually seem to grow bigger for awhile before the sustain fades...just awesome...
