PATB Love...

Just had another set of the PATB-1 and 3 installed in my Ibanez Premium RG920...

HOLY CRAP THAT NECK PICKUP SINGS!!!!

100% convinced that the PATB's are the greatest pickups ever devised.

Think I'm replacing the 59 in my Jackson with the PATB-1 neck too.

that's a PATB3 Blues Saraceno in the neck?! really? wow. I agree, though. These pickups are superb. They look horrible, though. But they sound so, so much better. They're like a stew. Hard to look at, but the taste and explosion of flavors make it SO worth while.

No, it's a 1 in the neck and Saraceno in the bridge.

I actually like the look.:laughing:

Yup. Love those pups. Still need to get my Neck PATB-1 in the neck. Sooo many projects.

patb1/2 alnico 8 hybrid in neck and bridge (will be swapped)
patb1n alnico 5 in middle, hardwired for singlecoil (two singlecoils in 1 package as it where!)

and some other nice tweaks.

I think PATBs look fantastic....in the right guitar. They definitely deliver the toans.

I have an A4 PATB-1n / A8 PATB-3 set in my Mayones Maestro.

I can play just about any style of music with'em, from thin Funky licks to the most extreme heavier style just by adjusting the gain.

Nop. Not a file. But hold your horses my friend. I will make my secret publoc in a blog article, so EVERYBODY can enjoy covered patb's, with a pictorial.

Absolutely. I allow sneak peaks in my kitchen of tricks but the cupboard of fine details and honing in on specifics will remain shut. We are entitled to some secrets, right? But I am never guilty of not sharing, I believe. By sharing we can move forward. I learned so much because people shared (knowledge). It's more than fair to return the favor.
