PATB Love...

Re: PATB Love...

Has anyone tried the PATB-3 in a Les Paul? I would be interested in tone reports. Thanks!

Re: PATB Love...

Hey all,

Is the PATB1n like the 59; I've read that it is, IIRC.

If so, is it boomy in the neck, like the regular 59?

Thanks

I have one in my Mayones Maestro, the tone is similar, but NO mud to be found, due to the split-polepiece system, aka "Parallel Axis", LOL!

It's an excellent neck p'up. With an A4 in it, it'll stand tall among many PAF types, even hi-priced boutique ones.

HTH,

HTH,

Thx for the reply Lieutenant.

How does the polepiece arrangement help, by not having long screws in the neck coil?

Re: PATB Love...

orpheo, the top on that is amazing! The one thing I don't think I like about the PATB PUs is the square corners. Other than that I like the look.
