Pearl Amplifier

Hi all I'm the newbie and need your help.
I ahve had a Pearl Guitar amp for 20+ years, since I bought it in Ireland during the 80's. Since I've had it the reverb has not worked and would like to try and get it going.

The amp details are as follows:-

Pearl Musical Instruments
Model No. SG-062
Serial No. 102605
Parametric filter series.

If anyone out there has any information I would be very grateful to hear from you.

Regards,
Derek.

Re: Pearl Amplifier

If the amp has a spring reverb uni like most amps then it is probably an easy fix. Take out the reveb tank and have a close look at the wire connections inside. In most tanks the wires that connect to the springs are very fine and often work loose due to the spring vibration. Very commonly the wire just breaks. Check it carefully - it will probably be an easy solder job to reconnect.

Thanks for the reply.
The reverb unit is not the problem it is the amp.
The amp has a 'D' shaped socket and the harness that went into it is missing and I do not know which way round the wires fit.
I have thought about removing the socket, as I cannot find a plug to fit it, and make a new harness. The big problem I have is I do not know which way round the wires go.
If I drop the socket I should be able to see the two ground connections but the two wires for 'in' and 'out' I am worried that I might do damage if connected the wrong way round. My thoughts were to hook it up and use trial and error with the wires but I am afraid of damaging something, unless you know better. BTW I have a new reverb unit as the old one was no good.
Derek.
