Pearly Gates And Gibson 3 Way Switch

I just bought a new set of Pearly Gates for my LP copy and I bought a genuine Gibson 3 way switch. Problem is it has 5 prongs. 3 on one side and 2 on the other, I must be close cause I hear sound but it's not quite right. What is each prong for?? Any help would be amazing. Thanks!!

Look at the upper-left diagram in this diagram. The bottom of the switch shows four tabs, but the center two are bent together.

ill have to look at a switch but i believe that the two on one side need to be joined as they are the outputs, the outside pair on the other side are the inputs as far as i remember. ill dragging this from my hazy mind on a monday morning so take a look at the switch and make sure it makes sense.

is one of the contacts bigger than the others?

I wired this according to the Seymour Duncan diagram for 2 hums, 2 vol, 2 tones and the pickups work, but there's low output and lots of hum.

the series link not being wired correctly would make it hum and give a low output bright sound, not sure if thats your problem. it hums and low output in all position? could be a bad ground
do you have a multimeter? if so check the resistance at the jack with all the controls full up for the neck and bridge pups

I forgot to attach the ground between the neck and bridge volume once and it did what you described. Took a couple of times comparing wiring to diagram before I caught it.

It works now. Its amazing ehat following a wiring diagram can do. The problem I had was the wires kept coming off. I may get daring and do the Jimmy Page mod with the 4 push/pulls. Does anyone have sound samples of that??

Giot this puppy working with standard 500k pots. When I feel braver, I'll go for push/pulls. Thanks guys!!!
