Pearly Gates Trembucker vs TB-APH-1, which is hotter?

Re: Pearly Gates Trembucker vs TB-APH-1, which is hotter?

I asked the product support if the website specs were correct and if there had been any change to the APH-1 product.
I received a very pleasant and detailed reply. Well done to the Product support - Thanks!

In summary:
* There is no change to the APH-1 design
* The website spec for this product is generally reliable, although there can be some variation in resistance.
* 7.85k ohm figure on the old tone chart is not an accurate representation for the APH-1.
* Trembuckers have higher resistance due to the larger bobbin.
* The Pearly gates bridge pickup will have marginally higher output than the APH-1, but its close. The main difference is brighter EQ of the Pearly Gates.

Also there is a thread with more historic information about the APH-1
https://forum.seymourduncan.com/sho...e-to-MJ-wound-Alnico-II-pro-from-1986-to-2013

Based on this info I think I may go for an APH-1 instead.
