peavey 5150 problems!

Need help on this,

have a 5150 combo that isnt going loud at all. When played though the input its very very quiet or nothing at all. When the guitar is put into the fx loop there is some sound but wont go loud.

If anyone has any ideas about this and what the problem is it will help. Obviously im thinking tubes, but dont have access to new ones to try.

Sounds like worn out power valves to me, probably best getting it checked out and sorted by a tech if you dont know what you're doing.

i know what im doing, im not going to go playing inside the thing though. if its tube related im fine.

Clean all your input jacks, including FX loop and speaker jacks. I have had that be the cause as well. If it is beyond tubes or dirty jacks, I would look at filter caps, if it is an older 5150.
