I was wondering if a few of you guys on here could help me out with a few questions. As some of you know I purchased a 5150 amp head signature series, model serial#09364578 for dirt cheap back in January of this year. Well my question is, the guy I bought it from told me that the amp was either a late 1996 or 1997 model, b/c he remembers purchasing it in early 97. Well last night I was at a local show and somebody that I know who has a 5150 with the EVH block lettering on it they told me mine can't be a 1997 model b/c his block model EVH was made in 97 and to prove it he showed me the Peavey hi pot test sticker on the inside of the amp that was dated 97. I was wondering if some of you guys could explain the differences between the Block EVH and the signature EVH models along with the years they were produced and if possible be able to tell me more about around when my amp was made by the serial number I posted in this topic.
