Peavey Decade Stomp

Still can't find a good video on the Decade. I did find this company that makes a Decade clone. If the Peavey sounds like this I am in. It is exactly what I remember it sounding like pushing the Quad Reverb. I know exactly how I would use this in the studio.

there needs to be a setting to replicate someone fanning the box open and closed with a speed setting

Oh! They would sell a lot of them. But then once the nostalgia wore off, they would sit on a shelf forever because no one would actually choose to have that sound.

I would love to have that sound. There is a video of Zappa using on on a talk show and his tone is amazing. Matt Pike recently used one on the new High on Fire album.

No doubt it will show up in a modeler somewhere named something like 'Frank's Pig Farm'.

I was expecting it to sound like trash, but it has an authentic low-rent late 70s vibe.

That is why I am interested in it. We are doing a song in the studio that is sludgy and doomy-sounding retro metal but the bridge is straight-up 70s glam rock ala Sweet or NY Dolls. I also do a lead over the bridge with a retro phase shifter patch. I thought this would be cool in the studio for that brighter, upbeat glam rock bridge and still do.

I am starting to think Peavey's release of this pedal is a response to the Decade pedals already on the market. I have already come across three of four of them.

^ I hadn't realized that the Decade sound was that popular. I could understand a Bandit pedal, though.

They missed an opportunity not having a line out. IMO all AIB pedals should have some type of line out.
