Peavey Valve King VK100, Thoughts?

Re: Peavey Valve King VK100, Thoughts?

I have the VK212. It's an alright amp for a budget tube amp, but you can do way better especially at this price point. I've owned mine for a few months now and I'm stilling dialing it in to get the right tone. It's a tough amp to deal with, and the OD it sounds very solid state like, though it does clean up nicely. Mine makes a lot of noise too, I've tried switching the tubes a few times and it's too much even with humbuckers. Go with the Marshall, if you get the VK it doesn't have a lot of resale value, I've had a really hard time trying to sell mine.
