Peavey VTM vid clip after tweaks....

Re: Peavey VTM vid clip after tweaks....

Many thanks kids... The amp is a 60 watt, a very modest 60, nothing like my non-master heads. I run the master dimed, and the pre around 3 or so. The boost switches all sound very nice, I like one of the low boosts quite a bit... I run with my Weber Mass attenuator, it works really nice with it. If I did not have so many amps, a Lar/Mar master volume would be the route I would take......

I am sure the amp would kick with some fuzz, but I own none... I just dig turning up loud and hearing the amp do its thing... Now, I also wager, I would not even know how to turn a AxFx on...

Just a very good sounding version of a master volume. If you google it, you will find all the goods to do it. Very transparent sounding MV

Sounding good. I've had a VTM120 since 1996. I didn't know anything about it and saw it in a store for $200. I liked it and bought it. My ownly complaint about the thing is that it's just so loud. I'd like to pick up a 60 some day.

I miss them being at that price point, the Soundgarden connection made em take off a bit. I think the Laney Pro Tube can still be found for 250-400, which is a hell of a deal for a very solid amp.
