Peavey VTM60

Okay, I heard there were a good amount of VTM lovers on this board. I just snagged one off of ebay and I love it! It pretty much nails every classic Marshall sound up to the JCM800. The dipswitches make a world of difference in tone. One of the main things that impressed me was that it does such a great job of maintaining it's tone at low volumes (like most other Peavey amps with the exception of the 5150/6505's.)

Anyone else own one of these?

I'm always looking for tips and suggestions.

Any Overdrive recommendations for this amp?

Long live one channel amplifiers!

(In case you're wondering, yes, I am indeed a Peavey whore!)

Re: Peavey VTM60

try a 12au7 or 5814a in the phase inverter socket. this is the preamp tube farthest away from the input jack.

Re: Peavey VTM60

I have a 120 that I love. I swapped a coulpe caps and resistors to add bottom and warm it up, really great sounding head. I run mine with the master dimed, through an attenuator, just sounds huge.
