Peavey XXL

well, i have been looking at this amp for a long time, its the 2x12 combo version, i have played it 3 or 4 times, i am extremely impressed with this amp considering it is a solid state, all 3 channels are good, i need an amp that is gigable, but i can still practice with. it is goin for 899.99(canadian dollars), does anyone have any expierence with these amps?, and it would be a great help if someone has clips, Oh and i play everything from iron maiden to ozzy to megadeth, iced earth etc...........

after i own the XXL (2X12 combo), i sold off my tube head because IMO the XXL excels in single note clarity which i fancy. it also sounds good with my 7-string so it was for keeps... the bonus is of course the switchable wattage- if you are grinding at home, you can operate it at a lower wattage- 25W so that you get better saturation. gigging- 100W of power is available at your disposal... performs well with single coils too...

I had an XXL and I liked it alot. It was very versatile for most any type of music. Most of my friends that played it couldnt belive it was solid state. I say, Go for it!!! Its a great amp!!!
