Looking at Peavy Wolfgang USA Standard - NEW guitar.
1600 AUD (1200 USD).

It is an uninspiring blue, the neck Is birdseye maple.
Very fast neck. Very nice.

Keen on it.

Any info?
On the pups, disadvantages.
Bad things to look for etc.

Convince me not to get it.

Another thing.

I thought an EVH model would have the trem bar.

But this had a bridge like a gibson. I mean exactly like one of a Les paul or an epi like mine.
Where's the trem bar at?

Also it has tWO knobs 1 volume and 1 tone.
In the music123 pictures the EVH has a floyd rose and one knob.

Also the switch is up top like on an LP but its upside down so its

whats the go?

Your looking at a USA made Wolfgang Standard Hardtail. The MSRP for the Standard Wolfgangs are somewhere between $1800-$2200 I believe. Knock off $100 since it's a Hardtail and not a Tremolo version.

I'm not sure how to answer a 'worth' of a new guitar question. Basically, as soon as you buy it, it's value drops dramatically. I'd suggest you buy one used. The Hardtails generally run between $700-850 used. That or offer $950 for the new one and see what happens. It's worth that new, cause you get the 5 year Warranty.

The pickup select switch is like that because EVH wanted it that way. It's very easy to get use to. I actually like it better than my Les Paul's select switch.

I want floyd rose damnit!

<<<EDIT>>>

new development.

Rang the joint and put on a voice, got a different sales rep, He said that it has 2999 on it but its SECOND HAND (in immaculate condition though).
He said about 2699 (2000USD).

The other rep gave me 1600 (1200 USD) for it.
So, This is a new development.

Ontop of that he said that the Peavey Dealer in Australia has pulled out, so now it is impossible to get Peavey Gear.
I have checked this out and confirmed it.

Its an awesome guitar, full on shred guitar - But I want floyd/trem.
If it was cheaper - maybe yeah. But I'm undecided.

After doing a bit of research at the peavey.com site.
The stop tail version of the wolfgang is $1649 USD.

Still Tempted.

No.
If I can get a cheap tremelo version, Yeah sure.
Immaculate Trem. Ver. for less than 1200 USD and I'll be as sound as a pound.

---------------
Research - FleaBay

A bunch of guitars that can ship to Australia.
A few cheap ones, but the reserve hasnt been met...
Nothing too special.

www.ebay.com.au -then search worldwide to see things to ship to Australia...
