Pedal board set up

Hey guys,

Just wondering how you go about setting up your pedal boards and if there's any particular way of doing it because I dont know much about it!

I've got a deucetone rat, line 6 delay, homebrew power screamer, cry baby wah, octave pedal, compressor. Also where would modulation pedals go if I were to buy any, such as chorus and phasers.

Cheers!

Set it up according to your ears...modulation is usually preferred in the loop if you have one...wah pedals in the front of the chain.

I usually like it this way:

Light Distortion -> Wah -> Compression -> Phaser-> Heavier Distortion -> Flanging -> Chorus ->Tremolo -> Delay -> Reverb

But it is a personal choice . . . the best thing about pedal boards is, if you get tired of somthing, just move the pedal around and get new combinations

Re: Pedal board set up

If you don't have many pedals, it's fine to go straight through them to the amp, but I've found that a board sounds quietest with a good signal if I use a Loop pedal somewhere in the middle, to remove the less used FX from the main signal.

Wah - gain devices - maybe a tuner in the middle - chorus/phaser/flange - delay. Sometimes I make the last pedal my stereo pedal or the pedal with the strongest jacks.

What I do with the looper pedal is this.

Wah - fuzz - OD - Dual Loop box which brings in Line 6 pedals or tuner - flange - chorus. This way my main signal only goes through 6 true bypass pedals. The dual loop box either brings in Line 6 blue and green or kills the signal straight to the tuner. Then, out of the loop box into the flange and finally the chorus. I can bring in the pedals on the back row using the pink switch box in front.
