pedal flikering on and off..help

my new boss equalizer keeps flickering on and off when using the adaptor to power. I dont have a battery to try that way and am wondering if anyone can help me out with this.

It sounds like your adaptor isn't making good contact with the power supply (and thus keeps breaking connection). Try jiggling the power connector around a bit and see if that helps. If it doesn't, take the pedal apart and see if there are any loose connections running from the power input to the pedal. If there are, a little solder will fix things right up.

2 things.... are you using a real Boss adapter? and if it is new and is broken somehow, take it back if it is broken... before ever opening anything up and soldering anything that is new use your warranty rights....

This is much better advice than what I gave . . . i didn't read that it was a NEW pedal.

yes its not making good contact, i have to twist it around until it works. and yes it is a boss adapter too. Works fine when the power is going through it.
