Pedal Question

I just got my first pedal, a Maxon overdrive, about a week ago and in that time I've gone through 2 batteries. Is it normal for pedals to use up battery life that quick or is there something wrong?

Do you leave a cable plugged into the input jack? If there's a cable there, it will keep the circuit activated and drain the battery.

+1 and consider a power supply, saves $ in the long run....Joe
