pedal rig question : does this work????

need yer wisdom here again guys n gals. :smoker:

is this setup ok? would it be good for the signal?

guitar -> distortion/OD pedal -> multieffect -> amp

the reason behind this is that i wanna use chorus, volume control etc. on the multieffect without using its amp emulation (or distortion/OD).

Re: pedal rig question : does this work????

You have chosen the correct path. May the force be with you.

I like distortion before modulation as well.
+1 more

That's the way I would do it.
ROck ON!

Re: pedal rig question : does this work????

It is the right setup, but it all depends on the multieffect. Some can handle it, and some dont.

4 members agree. looks like it works that way then...

thanks guys!

Re: pedal rig question : does this work????

if you're planning to use delay or reverb, the way you suggest is fine :D

the only thing you wouldnt be able to do is change the amount of distortion using the volume pedal, but this is a taste thing..

Re: pedal rig question : does this work????

If the amp had an fx loop I'd be tempted to put the multi fx in that, cos it frees up any distortion you might use from the amp itself

Re: pedal rig question : does this work????

It´s fine the way you have it

yoiu could hook it up the other way around, and it would probably sound different. That´s one of the cool things about effects, for example a "Distorted Flanger" sounds different from a "Flanged Distortion", even if the pedal settings are the same... Try it out if you like ;)
