Pedal Suggestions

I need the following

1) a nice DELAY that can be set to be ambient sort of airy tone really low in the back and holding out notes like in a studio mix, as much as it can do the EDGE thing.

2) a Uvibe/Chorus - I was thinking microvibe so it can fit on my board

3) any thoughts on the Hot British or Trimode or vox's. I like the OCD, just wondering what else is out there.

Re: Pedal Suggestions

I'm after a Line 6 Echo Park. It'll cover most things for me, delay wise, from vintage to modern. And I use a Marshall Supervibe for my chorus, lovely full sound.

Re: Pedal Suggestions

1) You can easily cop the Edge's tone with any of the Digital Delay pedals that boss sells. Some of the older ones (DD-2, DD-3) sound a lot more organic/dirty/analog because of the cheap converters that were used. The newer ones sound more pristine and perfect. If you're looking at a line 6 echo park (or any of those tone core pedals for that matter) make sure that you try it with your pedal board . . . line 6 pedals are VERY PICKY about their power supply, and with certain combinations of pedals they are VERY NOISY!

2) Everyone makes a good chorus these days . . . I like the EH pedals the best for chorus, but I have too much crap on my pedal board to fit them. I've been able to get what I like out of a Boss CE-5. The Boss (CE-5, CH-3), Marshall Supervibe, Danelectro Cool Cat, Digitech Multichorus, Ibanez CF-7 are all good though, so just find whichever one you like.

3) Never used them sorry!

If you can live without tap tempo, the Yamaha Magicstomp has some very cool delays and nice chorus (though not at the same time).

I'm after one too primarily for that analogue delay sounds, I use either a Boss CE-5 and Boss Dimension C for chorus depends what mood I'm in.
