First up is set of Fender Tex-Mex Telecaster pickups. These came out of my Roadworn 50s Tele and are aged. They are not Holy Grails, however they offer solid very usable clean , OD, and even higher gain tones. After some tweaking, I could have lived with these in the guitar for quite some time. Published specs have eluded me, however my research has shown these are both A5, and readings hover around the high 7s to low 8K range. They both take gain pretty darn well- neck pup surpised me in particular-really sings with the tone backed off on the guitar a bit and hammered with some distortion/OD. FYI- bridge pups ground wire is short because these are wired to the bridgeplate stock from the factory$40+ shipping
Next up is a basically new Hardwire Overdrive Pedal. It's got a TS type vibe, but with less annoying mid spike, even in the classic mode. The modern mode is even less mid focused-almost but not quite BOSS SOD. I've never even stepped on this pedal, just messed around with it a for a few hours. Sounds fantastic-IMO far nicer sounding than a TS9 reissue and certainly more versatile. Don't let anyone tell you it's a just a glorified Bad Monkey- its far far better than that (I own the BM too). regardless, this box is just not a sound I really need, so off it goes to someone who can get some use out of it. Box, case candy, control cover included. $70 + shipping
Duncan PUP Booster- I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this pedal with a SSS Strat. If I still had one, I'd still be using this pedal as a boost and for the EQ. Doesn't get any use with my Tele and it's hot overwound broadcaster pickups. Have some clips on my soundclick. Needs a battery otherwise in excellent plus condition. $55+ shipping
Digitech HotHead SOLD SOLD SOLD
VOX DA5 amp- I suspect these will be discontinued with the new mini amp coming out. For a cheap practice amp, these things rock. Some really fun tones, and while it has a little buzz on the gainier models, it's also very open and real-amp like- far better than the other micro amps out there from Line 6/Roland, etc. I've got a few clips up on my soundclick- lemme know if ya want some links. Models are (clockwise)- Dumble clean, Fender Twin, Fender 59 bassman, Vox AC15, Vox AC30, Marshall Plexi, Marshall 800, Marshall TSL, Rectumfrier, Soldano, Dumble OD. Can switch from 1/2w to 1 to 5 w. really great on the 1/2w setting for late night practice, but def can get LOUD for what it is. It can handle an MP3 player to jam along, can operate on batteries, can be used 1/2 open back or closed back. AC adapter included.Plenty of info on the Vox website HERE $60 + shipping
