Pedals similar to the Marshall guvnor 2?

My girlfriend played with my brother's Guvnor (the reissue) and really liked it. Now we are looking for for recommendations of other distortion pedals that have similar characteristics to try.

There are quite a few clones out there. The Danelectro Daddy-O is said to be the Guv with an input and output buffer. The BBE AM64 is loosely based, with a tone knob instead of 3-band. I wasn't wild about the clipping characteristics on that one so I stacked an op amp and swapped diodes around. Now I like it. The Suhr Riot I think as well? There are many more from what I'm told.

I'm thinking that part of what makes it sound so good with her fiddle is the tweakability of the EQ. What are some other pedals with a similar amount of EQ tweaking ability.
