I've been using Pegasus few years with my seven string guitars and really I really like it. It's now paired with 59B with A6 mag which is nice, but I want more output from my neck pickup. I use bridge for rhythms and solos, neck pickup for soloing and split them both for clean sounds. I also have SSL-1 in the middle for stratty tones.
Would Distortion neck be good pair for Pegasus? I know that DDn is high powered pickup and I'm familiar with magnet swapping and other pickup mods. I use Friedman BE batch with Ownhammer cab impluse for distorted tones and play progressive metal with influences from 70s prog, jazz and death metal.
