Pegasus/Sentient In A Les Paul?

Have any of you tried it? How were your results? I'm looking for something medium high output with lots of clarity that still chugs. To me, that's what it kind of looks like on paper. I bought a set a few years ago to put in a Charvel San Dimas, but I never got around to it. I just bought a new Tokai, and it got me thinking about putting them in it.

I currently have a set in a custom build that is essentially a 25.5" scale Floyd LP and they are the definition of chug and clarity. I plan on trying them in other guitars as I am very impressed with them. The middle position and neck have almost acoustic clarity - very impressed. Looking forward to what other people say about them in LPs. FWIW, the Perpetual Burn is/was amazing in my Edwards LP.

Sounds good. Thanks!!

It is a very modern combo...tight, scooped, and hard (not chewy). Great for recto-levels of gain. It is a great sound if you don't need the dynamics of more traditional pickups. These actually sound pretty good clean, unlike, say a pickup like the Nazgul.

I REALLY need to get a black/white pair for my Schenker V.

Then I REALLY need to learn some Schenker solos!

I would say this is what is so unique about this combo. Sure, it is not PAF squishy, but I find it quite dynamic compared to its modern counterparts. This guitar I would feel comfy going to my prog/power metal gig and then showing up the next day for worship band playing...

Now, I usually play a half step or more down. So not sure what they sound like in Standard tuning.

I just bought a used SH6n (Sh-7!?) to dissect and experiment with and compare to the Pegasus and PB. I seem to love this wind range for bridge.

I guess I'm going to have to take some fillister screws out of another Duncan and put them in the pickups since I'm going to put chrome covers on them.
