Pegasus/Sentinent Review

Hello All
Just got my Ibanez SZ320 back with new Pegasus bridge and Sentinent neck.
I ordered them with black metal covers.
I know many of you are considering this exciting new set, so here is my take.....
The guitar is mahogany with a thick maple cap.
Pegasus: Medium Hot....somewhat rude/raw sounding voice...... sharp sounding......cuts thru.....nice sizzle in the upper mids....would work well for shred or prog metal.....nice chunk when palm muting.....not the prettiest doing cleans, but overdriven and distorted, it shines. Nice note definition and sustain. Noticeably different sound than the Custom series and the Distortion, which I had in the bridge before putting the Pegasus in.....
Great saturation and growl. Kinda like a Full Shred crossed with a Custom, but not as hot.....

Sentinent: warm, round sounding, with nice glassy highs and lightly scooped mids. Gets clearer and chimier with volume rolled off.....sparkly but not harsh cleans, nice thick solo sound with OD/Chorus/Delay. Has a nice thick bottom and some polite but spanky sounding mids. GREAT, creamy sustain with Fuzz pedal......
It's like a hotter Jazz neck IMO. If word about this thing gets around, they will start selling ALOT MORE.

I was also surprised at how well these sounded TOGETHER.
This is a really nice set and a welcome addition to the SD lineup.
Enjoy!!!!

Cool review. If Duncan ever decides to offer these in normal cosmetics, I'll check out a Sentient.
