Peraly Gates for Telecaster Bridge

Greetings everyone, my first post and I'd like to get a few opinions please.
I put SD's Pearly Gates Tele Bridge in my Tele and was wondering how much, if any, do you PG's owners tweak the individual pole pieces and how doing so affects the tone/output?

Most PG's I've installed tend to be balanced when installed at specified heights. It's a very well balanced pickup.

But from time to time, I'll get a bright g and drop the pole piece a little or I might need a little increase in bass and slightly raise the bass side.

But every guitar and rig is a little bit different and the best way to learn is to try! Just remember how many half turns of the screwdriver you turn so you can put it back to neutral if it doesn't work.

When I started off as a kid, I'd completely change all of the pole piece heights to see what happens which is a great way to connect the tactile in the ear as long as you know how to put it back

There are very few pups that I've installed that I DIDN'T tweak just about everything about it...pup height and angle, pole piece heights, pole screw compositions (1022 to 1014), magnets, wiring (series, split, parallel), etc.

Pup adjustments are a personal thing and depends upon you tastes/preferences, the specific guitar, the type of music you play, and the rest of your equipment.

I have one in my tele and spent some time tweaking the pole pieces. Ultimately I eventually returned them to the flat position, which I prefer.

I think I might worry about the balance between strings if I used a wound G string, or if one string wasn't loud enough. But I would generally keep them flat.
