perpetual burn for 'non shred'

Has anyone tried this pickup in a LP style guitar for (much) less shred applications??

I'm intrigued by this 'strength' of pickup. Its sort of like that c/59 hybrid type inbetween output level......open toned still but thicker than PAF. Hoping that its 'JB-ness' doesn't mess with the LP like it sometimes can.
