Perpetual Burn in the Neck

Hi I was wondering how y'all think the Perpetual Burn would sound in the neck of a Gibson Les Paul?

Gibson Burstbucker Lead Pro, sounds great when I have the mids boosted on my amp

It's going to be quite hot, so be careful. I would pair it with something like a JB, Distortion, or Alternate 8 personally.

What's in the neck now and what don't you like about it?

There is a 490R in the neck now and it just sounds way too compressed and muddy

I'd go with a Sentient, Jazz or Full Shred. It depends on what kind of voicing you like.

If the Perpetual Burn voicing interests you, I'd probably go with the Full Shred.

PAF Joe, Bluesbucker and The Humbucker From Hell are also worth your consideration.

PB at the neck would seriously overpower a BB Pro at the bridge IMO. Unless you have a really loud bridge pickup, I'd heed the advice above and choose something far less hot than a PB.
