Perpetual Burn opinions...

I've read every post about this new pickup I could find, but there's not a lot. So I thought I'd try to squeeze every bit of info I can get from those who actually tried it...
Guitar is a superstrat with an Alder body, maple neck, 24 frets, 24.75" scale, rosewood board. I use an Axe Fx II.
Obviously it's a bridge pup I'm looking for. Musicstyle is rock/metal, progressive unstrumental stuff. THink Petrucci, Sfogli, Gilbert and similar.
I want a balanced pup with enough mids to cut through. Very important is that it's not muddy. Need tight bass, and singing highs. Icepicky treble is not what I'm after. Need to be able to do tight palm muting and for solo work I want articulation and clarity, but should still be able to do solo tone with loads of sustain and cream.
I like Dimarzio D-activator in another guitar altough thats an all mahogany axe. Anderson HN3 is another favourite, lots of mids in that one.
I also have a Full Shred set in another one which is clear and articulate alright, but this time I'd like just a tiny bit more warmth, even though it should be in that genre of a pickup.

So, any thoughts on this? Or are there any other Duncans that would fit the description above better? Iv'e been thinking about Custom and Distortion also, but I seem to favor pickups that are not superhot...
I just might also swap the neck bucker for a Duncan, seems Screaming Demon is a popular option for the neck position?

I've got one in my Charvel san dimas, and in my Les Paul. It's crisp, great crunchy mids, singing highs, not flabby in the bass frequencies, and is incredibly dynamic with regards to the volume control. It's my favorite seymour duncan bridge pickup.

By the way AZ, have you tried the Full Shred Bridge? If so, how does the perpetual burn compare?
