PG/Custom Hybrid with an Alnico 8

I finally tried it today. I had an A2 in it previously. I was concerned about loosing the "crunchy" sound of the A2, but its still there, just a bit hotter. The big difference seems to be in the cleans. More fullness in split coil and parallel. I might still have honeymoon ears, but I think this mod might be a keeper .

You said the ouput has increased , how would you describe changes in the EQ and in the pick attack ?

Give me a couple more days to analyze it. I slapped it in at the tail-end of a no sleep day, so my first take may have been a bit altered . Luckily, I did some sample recordings with the A2 mag to compare.

I'd say it is more overall punchy with tighter lows and more screaming highs and more power !
