PG Neck tomfoolery

Wattage

High Voltologist
Had a bad slug coil in the neck PG in one of my LP's, took me a while to figure out why it sounded so weak. It would read all over the place, I figured I had wired something wrong, so after about 4 different rewires I put it on the meter and realized one of the coils was waaaaay weird. Zeroed in on the slug, tried re-floating the solder at the lead but no luck.

I had a good '59 screw coil so I did a little surgery and I am actually really happy with the results, a lot more ability to dial it in anyways. reads about 7.40k now

Re: PG Neck tomfoolery

yeah it sounds really good, at least thru my practice amp. I have to run it into my Orange or EVH to know for sure. I am not sure how it compares straight up to the PG but I can't imagine it is too much different. I like that I can drop the slug screws down on the bass side and pop them up on the treble. Really let me get the pickup balanced out so well.
