PHANTASMAGORIA -- my Crimson Glory riff/Ownhammer impulse response test

TwilightOdyssey

Darkness on the edge of Tone
Inspired by Phantasmagoria's tribute to Crimson Glory, here's my CG inspired riff. I also used this as test bed for the Ownhammer impulse responses. Now I have a bunch of tracks I can play round with.

The guitar signal chain is guitar > Bogner Harlow > EAST Studio 2 > line out > interface. No EQ was used outside of a high pass filter. Would love any feedback.

Sweetness!!

Love the riffs...lots of sliding 5th's & that ending with the doubled guitars is pure CG all the way. The solo is nice ...more Ben Jackson than Jon Drenning. Overall the sound is pretty huge/full & organic while CG always had a very digital sounding slightly anemic production with the tacky electronic drums and everything. It sound's more like what I'd have liked them to have sounded like..rather than what they actually sounded like..can't complain haha!

Thanks! It's all throw-away stuff, really so I can test IRs.
I couldn't help myself with the Crimson Glory harmony and riff at the end, though. :)
