Phat Cats and TV Jones TV'Trons

Hey there. I have an Epiphone 3 pickup LP Custom with two TV Jones TV'Tron pickups, one in the bridge (TVT1+) and one in the neck (TVT2).

I have ordered a neck Phat Cat P90 to go in the middle position and give me a different sound... but the output of the TV Jones pickups is quite low, so will the Phat Cat overpower them when combined? Or maybe just not sound very good in comparison?

In case you need to know, the guitar is set up with 3 independant volumes and a master tone, and the switch acts the same way as a normal LP unless the middle pickup is active, in which case it just adds it to whatever other pickups are active at the time.

Thanks for your help (p.s. this is my first post on this forum)

Welcome to the forum.

The Phat Cat will be louder than the 'trons, but luckily you can adjust its level independantly. It should mix well, I think.

BTW, how are those TV Jones in your LP? I've heard them in a semi hollow, but am curious as to how they react to a solidbody.

They are pretty friggin' sweet sounding - very bright and articulate, very KRRANGy if you will, very 60s vintage retro type sound. I'll never go back to the "standard" humbucker sound.
