has anyone taken the cover off of a phat cat? i wonder what it's like under there.

it is probably a black bobin that is almost as wide as the cover.

From what I was told by SD the bobbin had to be cut way down to accomadate the HB size cover and looks pretty ugly. The coil to cover clearance is also real tight. I'd say leave the cover on as you run a good chance of damaging the coils if you try to remove it.
