Pick up choice for a Tele.

HI everyone,
I'm going to be replacing the PUP's in my telecaster. It has a single coil in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge. My style of play will be Pink Floyd, Steely Dan influenced. I'm hoping to find some suggestions as to which PUP's will work well together.

Welcome to the forum!

For the bridge, I would go with something vintage, like a 59. For the neck, let me ask- are you after a traditional Tele sound, or are you going for something else? Neither of those bands I would associate with a traditional Tele neck sound.

I do like that trad. Tele sound but I am open for suggestions regarding traditional and Floyd/Dan sound. Thanks for replying.

Would a Hot Tele pick up pair well with the 59?

Actually, that is an excellent choice. Another good choice is the Jerry Donahue pickup, which retains some Tele-ness.
