pick up pole buzzing

I am a little confused here. Can you explain what's going on a little better?

I've never heard of an individual magnetic pole in a Fender-type pickup buzzing. This is a P-Bass pickup. Do you mean the half-coil closest to the neck?. If you can demo (with a video) or better describe exactly what is happening and what steps are required to replicate it, someone would be better enabled to help you. What wiring diagram did you follow to install it?

How do you know it is that one pole, and not any other one?
