Pick ups to match SD Invader

Hi

This has probably been asked before but not had much success in finding posts. I am currently building a partscaster, HSS config, maple neck with floyd rose. I have am invader ready to put in the bridge which i plan to coil tap as well.(looking for the Tom DeLonge tone there) Can anyone recommend what pickups to use in the middle and neck positions? also would i be better with all 500k pots? I was thinking of a qp ssl 4 for middle and neck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I really like the Cool Rails with the Invader, personally. They complement each other really nicely.

They make a neck version of the Invader so you could buy the set as a whole. Also the QP would fit nicely in the middle or if you want to keep the pups the same the custom shop makes a Invader single coil as well.

Re: Pick ups to match SD Invader

There are many ways to go with this.

1. If you want true single coils, a match of a quarter pounder and a SSL-5 would be good. Those are higher output to match the Invader.

2. If you want humbuckers in a single coil form, you can always go with a mix of hot rails and cool rails. Then you would be okay with 500K pots.

3. For even hotter bladed humbuckers in a single coil form, you can go with Dimarzio's Fastrack one and two. If you want a bladed pickup in a more PAF flavor, I've heard nothing but great things about the Pro Track.

Again, there's a lot of ways to go on this. Just help us narrow it down by what appeals to you.

If it was my guitar I'd use Hot Rails in the neck & middle. They sound great split and tonally match with the Invader.
