Picked up a G-Major

Re: Picked up a G-Major

Ishmun, I use the Rocktron MidiMate for a midi controller. I did own an ART X-15 ten years ago and it worked well enough but it seemed a little buggy at times. I didn't like the PC strips that they use in the expression pedals to send the controller info. I had the good fortune to be living in LA during the Northridge quake and both strips popped out of the unit and it was never quite the same. Granted the unit wasn't advertized as being quake proof, but there were other issues as well that made me look elsewhere this time around.

The Rocktron controller has been very good to me so far.

I just bought the G major and it hadn't been in stock for long so I have to assume I have the most receint software and I am under the impression that you can d/l the new software from the TC site from what I read in the manual.

It's a very nice unit and paired with my Rocktron Intellipitch (3 voice harmonizer/8 voice chorus/4 voice detune) I'm getting absolutely killer tone live. If you think the G Major is lush, you should hear the reverb/chorus of the G Major run into the Intellipitch running a 4 voice detune.

Tone so thick you can float a pingpong ball on it. Killer clarity as well.
