Thanks again for all the input. I think I'm going with a more subdued look so it's either black or tortoise as of now.

i love tortoise pickguards... half of all the guitars i had my entire life had/have tortoise ones....but by the description of your guitar i would go with some vintage/aged white pickguard :cool3:

Follow the link and check out the aged pearl or the cream pearl or even the black pearl as mentioned above. I'm rethinking now..........

I think the pearl ones are best, its subtle, but really make sthe difference in making a guitar stand out.

The Kisakae site is a good place to play Strat dress-up for some of these comparisons. For 3-tone SB, I would vote mint green first (best traditional Strat match for the SB/RW era), or parchment second, with aged white parts in either case. I like white pearl with chrome-covered pickups, but not so much with white covers (unless they are just creamy enough). I replaced the white pearl pg on my surf pearl Texas Special Strat with a parchment pg for that reason. Now, black pearl with black covers would be cool, but not on sunburst IMO.

I'd go with the black one if I had to decide between these two.. but a perloid white would probably look very cool too...
