Pickup advice and custom color question

I'm looking for a new bridge pup for my Double Fat Strat... the stock Pearly Gates Plus is a little bright for my tastes, and I would also like more output. There's a '59 in the neck which I really like. I'm thinking of getting an Invader for the bridge, but would that match up well with the '59 or should I be looking at a different Duncan to match it with? Or a different bridge pup besides the Invader? I've looked into DiMarzio, and the Tone Zone looks like it would fill my low end needs, but I'm open to suggestions.

Also, the pups are an off-white/parchment color. Would the Custom Shop do parchment, or maybe mint green? I'd like to keep the color as close as possible, and I think regular bright white or creme would not look so great. The guitar is teal green metallic.

The Invader is a really heavy sounding pickup, what kind of music do u play?

Parchment may be available from the CS, but I think I recall Evan saying something about that color being "Fender exclusive" or something to that extent.... I may be wrong, wouldn´t be the first time.

I´d call MJ at the custom shop and just ask

The Invader is a really heavy sounding pickup, what kind of music do u play?

Mostly metal, old school, some modern stuff. I had a pair of Invaders in an old Jackson Kelly before, so I know what they sound like, very heavy without being muddy. Is the '59 a good match to the Invader, though, or should I get something else for the neck like a Full Shred or something?

Thanks, Tim. I thought I heard something one time about parchment being exclusive to only certain Fenders, but I wasn't sure. I guess my best bet is to call the CS and find out for sure then.

I like the Invaders in Strats and a 59n will work fine with the Invader.

Parchament is not a color you will get from the SD Custom Shop but you might be able to get the PG+ bobbins re-wound to Invader spec and have the hex posts added.

Thats worth a call to the Custom Shop.

OF COURSE.. just have it rewound and the mags and poles out in... THAT they´ll almost certainly do
