Need a pickup recommendation for my epiphone korina flying v. Im wanting to go from a heavier blues tone all the way up to 80s metallica. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I think this is pretty well covered ground here. I think I've even seen 2-3 threads at least in the last month on the same/similar topic. Could search on those. The only thing that might modify your situation would be the amp, which is unknown at this time.

You have your choice of many pickups, starting with the Whole Lotta Humbucker up to the Custom and JB. Pick the EQ you want, and go from there. If you want versatility, check out the 59/Custom Hybrid, which does many styles well.

well i do the 80's Thrash and occasionally (as my playing allows me) rock and classic metal, things in he vein of AC/DC, ZZ top, Motorhead and Black Sabbath all with my single dimebucker equipped v (guit from my avatar)

so i would suggest for the neck slot either a 59, Whole Lotta or Pearly Gates, while for the bridge slot you might want at least a custom, a JB is a good too, the Distortion ain't a bad choice and it will nail first 2 albums metallica, the Black Winter is like a more refined Distortion less wild and a tad more versatile, of course the Dimebucker which i totally love and with vol rolled it can still do the blues
