Pickup Booster pedal ?

Hi,

I have a strat with a little Jr mini humbucker in the bridge + 2 Hot Stack in the middle and neck.

How this pedal - sfx-01 - would perform for the middle and the neck pickups ?

I am especially looking for a way to boost the pickups for heavy rock (power chords, good sustain).

How does it sound in front of a tech21 GT2 or other preamp/modelling effects ?

I, myself ,like the drive on my amp, but I'd like to have more of it
I tried distortion and overdrive pedals, but they choke the drive channel easilly. EQ pedal gives good results just by boosting all the frequencies by 10 dB, but I suppose there are some booster pedals that can do even better. Any sugestions? Vox Cooltron pedals any good?

I think you'll like it...I use one to keep the tone the same but push the amp or pedal for more crunch and sustain.

Can I transform my neck Hot Stack into a Little 59 or Jb Jr with this pedal ?
Is it close enough, so I can keep my Hot Stack for pure clean Fender sound...?

well.... there's the little switch on there that's especially for single coils, but it doesn't doo too much, just cuts out some highs to make your pickup more "humbuckery". it does exactly what it implies, boosts. it's very clean sounding, unless you're running a tube rig that's on the verge of breakup, then it adds an ever-so-slight crunch.

if you have a clean sound then itll make it louder, it you have a dirty sound itll make it dirtier. great little pedal.
